Great Example of UI Design
Clear full-screen travel and weather app
This is a great example of a good UX/UI design because of the proper use of negative space and visual hierarchy. Every page of the app has emphasized ease of use and can be picked up by anyone and used without much thought. Navigation is clear and becomes the first read at the top left of the screen. Another thing that stands out is that every block of information is separated into clear zones. So even if the user browses quickly they can find what they are looking for quickly as their eyes dart around the app.
Bad Example of UI Design
Furniture store product app
In this visual, you can see the incorrect and the correct way to set up this app. The main thing that sticks out is that there are too many buttons and elemnts that are drawing attention. This is pulling the viewer's eye in all directions and disrupting visual hierarchy. To solve this the color was removed from the view site button and the red button was also downgraded to just text. This type of design would visually anger the viewer and would make them leave before the purchase and decrease sales overall for the chair.
